Homeschooling has it's challenges, and I guess the more hands you can find to help the better.  I'm so grateful that my job is shared.  Pairing up works!  Well at least for us it does.  Granted there are pros and cons, but in my mind the pros far outweigh the cons.  We get to share ideas, discuss each child from a different perspectives, the workload is shared, and we get some time off, the children get to experience different teaching styles....(which could be confusing at first) but it's good exposure for them.  The socialisation is also beneficial, as the children then get to spend time with each other (developing a strong bond), it's not just one mom with her children.
The biggest challenge is making sure we spend enough time communicating with each other about what we are teaching and how each child is progressing.  At this point in time, I am just grateful for the opportunity to homeschool my children together with other children.

I decided to homeschool my then four year old daughter....last year in January 2012, together with my cousin.  It has been a very interesting and enjoyable journey with lots of hard work.

Right now we stand at an eve of another year....2013....what will it hold in store for us?
I was reminded by my pastor this week about an important verse in the bible: Matthew 6:25-33 " But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
How important is it for me to take these verses to heart?  If I had this right in my life I think many problems would disappear.  As I head into this year, I would like to meditate on these words more often.

Anyway, back to home schooling.  We have decided to home school for another year...yay:).  We have 3 children in our class now.  I'm also deciding about whether my two year old should join in our class for a longer period of time......hmm....but are we ready for that?
